Electric Garden Fences by Mr. McGregor's Fence®

Energizers, Pet and Child Safe

The energizers below are 100% pet and child safe. When electrified wires are touched, the sensation is similar to the discharge of static electricity on a dry day. The energizers each deliver roughly the same “zap” and the main difference between them is their power source.

*-Low impedance energizers increase the current on the fence line if vegetation touches it and drains the current into the ground. It is nonetheless important to be vigilant about keeping the active (charged) wires clear of any vegetation.

**-GFCI = Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter
In homes built to comply with the National Electrical Code, GFCI protection is required for most outdoor receptacles (since 1973).
You can tell if you have a GFCI outlet by looking to see if it has a "test" button. If it does then you have a GFCI outlet.
